Position Summary:

Position Summary:
Under the direction of a physician and utilizing the nursing process provides perioperative nursing care at a professional level. Performs a variety of nursing procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. Licensed personnel will practice only within their scope of practice.
Significant Duties:
- A. Patient Care
- Assess patients throughout perioperative period establishing appropriate documentation on nursing record.
- Start IVs and administer medications ordered by physician, instituting appropriate patient monitoring techniques.
- Prepare patients for procedures through explanation, patient positioning, pre operative surgical scrub and drapping as needed.
- Provide post anesthesia/analgesia care to patients utilizing appropriate PACU standards.
- Provide emotional support as appropriate to perioperative patients and family.
- Know how to gather required instruments, supplies and equipment for procedures.
- Know how to operate and do limited maintenance on day surgery equipment.
- Assist physicians as needed.
- Know how to set up and maintain a sterile field.
- May be responsible for specific areas of teaching of personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
- B. Administrative Responsibilities:
- Maintain adequate records as directed.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness.
- Cooperate with all personnel in the proper conduct of the dept.

License/Certification Requirement:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Must be licensed by the state of Oregon to practice Nursing.
- ACLS training within six months of hire date.

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Physical Therapy Manager the receptionist is responsible for the efficient operation of the front desk. Scheduling and greeting patients at the window and on the telephone, interacting with physicians and their office staff on a daily basis.
Principle Responsibilities:
- Handle multiple phone lines.
- Schedule patients.
- Greet patients, verify current information.
- Perform data entry and other clerical duties as necessary.
- Pull schedules for providers as requested.
- Confirm patient appointments, advising of proper check-in procedures.
- Reschedule patients as necessary per manager’s request.
- Organize displays, take inventory, order supplies as needed.
- Obtain prior authorization from insurance companies.
- Field patient insurance coverage questions.
Other Responsibilities:
- The receptionist must be flexible; able to handle whatever tasks are required of them and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, including bending, kneeling.
